The Haberdasher
Ingredients:
2 ounces Belle Meade Bourbon
¾ ounce Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
3/4 ounce Lemon Juice
3/4 ounce Honey Syrup (3-parts dark wildflower honey to 1-part warm water and stir together)
Rinse: Nux Alpina Walnut Liqueur (go heavy, ¼ - ½ ounce to your taste)
Build: Shake and Strain
Glass: Coupe
Ice: None
Garnish: None
Instructions: Pour all ingredients other than the walnut liqueur into a shaker with ice. Rinse inside of glass all the way to the rim with the walnut component and don’t dump out the excess. Shake and strain the cocktail into the rinsed glass. The rinse acts as a greeting for your olfactory senses as you go for that first sip and the excess you left pulls the flavor through on the palate.
