Tennessee Sour

The classic bourbon sour is given additional depth with the rich flavor of honey syrup and a float of dry red wine.

1.5 oz Belle Meade Bourbon
.75 oz lemon juice
.75 oz honey syrup (2:1 raw honey to water)
.5 oz dry red wine

 

Combine bourbon, lemon juice and honey syrup in a cocktail shaker, add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over one large cube or sphere. Pour the red wine over the back of a barspoon to create a float on top of the drink.
